My husband and I stayed here at the start of our anniversary trip and found the hospitality to be outstanding. Replies to all of our inquiries were received within minutes. We stayed in the studio which was private and very comfortable with on of the very best showers we’ve ever encountered. Still missing it!

Where do I even start. The Compass is everything. Modern, warm, inviting — the kind of place that just feels right the moment you walk in. The common areas are absolutely gorgeous, from cozy indoor lounges with fireplaces and plush seating that make you want to just sink in and stay a while, to inviting outdoor spaces that are perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine. Every corner is thoughtfully designed and honestly just really beautiful. We stayed in the North Suite and it was absolutely adorable — queen bed, great setup, and hands down the most fabulous shower I've had in a long time. I genuinely did not want to get out. The little snack bar was a cute touch, and we added on the welcome wine, which was a great call. The selection they provided was so good we ended up visiting the winery and came home with six bottles. Check-in and checkout were completely seamless, all coded and via text. But my absolute favorite detail? The deck of cards. Each card had a recommendation — wineries, activities, places to eat — and we planned our entire trip by laying them out and randomly selecting. It was fun, it was charming, and honestly? Some of our best stops of the whole trip came from those cards. I was initially a little worried about having no front desk or reception to ask for recommendations, but that deck of cards completely eliminated that concern. They really know what they're doing here. One note that has nothing to do with The Compass — a lot of the restaurants, shops, and tasting rooms in the area are closed Monday through Wednesday, which happened to be when we were there. We did a lot of pivoting. But with the cards and a little research, we always found something wonderful. Some of our favorite stops of the whole trip came from those unexpected detours. 10 out of 10, would absolutely stay again.

The Compass is a lovely place. The bed is comfortable, the shower hot, and there is even a mini-fridge and a tea kettle in the room with coffee available downstairs. The common areas are cozy and I appreciated the snacks available in the room as well. They have thought of everything and it is only a block from the downtown shops.

Our BUY OUT was amazing! I hosted 10 ladies for a girls weekend and the Compass Inn was perfect. The rooms were spacious and luxurious - all of my guests wanted to stay longer to soak in the tubs and enjoy the common spaces. We gathered together for dinner and fire side chats. At no point did the group feel crowded. At one point we had 13 gathered in the living room and it was comfortable and cozy / intimate. We loved walking to aerial yoga, great dinners, shopping and spa services. This place is a MUST. The owner/mgr was available for any needs and was very accommodating our requests.

I stayed at Compass for a little Work-cation. My stay was flawless. The owner has thought of every detail from a white noise machine in each room, to snacks just in case and much more. I slept like a baby! The linens are amazing and the beds are so comfortable. The bathroom was luxurious with a very large bathtub and lots of hot water. I felt spoiled. There was a small desk in the room I stayed in, perfect to get stuff done but didn't detract from the vibe of the room. I also took advantage of the many seating areas where I could work or enjoy a glass of wine (like the wine library!) The Inn is walking distance to the main area of McMinnville where you can walk to tasting rooms, shopping, coffee and restaurants. It was easy to self-check in or use the self serve amenities. It was such a peaceful and comfortable stay. I can't wait to go back. Must book!

Shannon was incredibly kind and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The space was immaculate, truly spotless and beautifully kept. The bathroom was exquisite and we loved every detail. We did the hot sauna followed by the cold plunge and it was just an amazing experience from start to finish. Highly recommend!

Our first stay at the Compass and it was delightful. Beautiful accommodations, exceptionally clean and the bed was ultra comfy. I liked the Inn aspect where you don’t have to have breakfast with a bunch of strangers, but at the same time self-serve refreshments and common areas are available all day which is much more relaxing. Nice central location, very quiet and loved the wrap around porch for sitting after a long day of walking. Will be sure to stay here when we are in the area again.
